Elisabeth is a renter, and she is running to make sure working families can afford to live in our city. She will never accept money from corporate landlords or other organizations opposing affordable housing. Elisabeth has been directly working on housing first policies for over 20 years.
Elisabeth's opponent uses housing first language, but she is funded by the groups that kill or weaken every housing first policy brought in Colorado. Specifically she has accepted over $10,000 from the Colorado and Denver Apartment Associations. These groups opposed eviction protections during the pandemic and common sense protections for renters. They fight to protect the ability of corporate landlords to price our communities out of Denver. (1)

Elisabeth’s opponent then took another $500 from a gun violence group that is perpetuating racist dishonest lies about Elisabeth, and refuses to return that $100 illegal contribution. Elisabeth’s opponent has not returned any of the other corporate donations she has received. (4)
